Speed optimisation, mobile performance, crawlability, indexing, schema markup, security, and overall site infrastructure improvements.

Slow websites lose visitors and rankings. Faster sites convert more users and perform better in Google and AI platforms.

Technical SEO helps AI search systems crawl, index and understand your website through clear site structure, clean code and accurate structured data.

AI engines prioritise websites that load quickly, are structured cleanly, and have schema markup for easier interpretation.

Yes  we identify and correct crawl errors, blocked resources, redirect loops, and sitemap problems.

Most fixes are completed in 4–8 weeks, depending on your site size and complexity.

Yes, implementing HTTPS and fixing vulnerabilities increases both rankings and user trust.

Structured data that helps Google and AI engines understand your content contextually.

Yes, mobile optimisation is a core component of technical SEO.

Yes, but regular monitoring is essential as websites and algorithms change.

It provides the foundation, but content and authority also impact rankings.

Technical SEO for Releases, Migrations and Live Website Changes

Technical SEO matters most when a website changes. A new template, plugin update, CMS release, redesign, domain move or platform migration can affect how search engines access, interpret and retain important pages, even when the visible website still appears normal to the team.

For Genix Digital, technical SEO should create a controlled release path. Before a major change goes live, the business needs to know which URLs, templates, tracking events, redirects and indexation rules must remain intact. This prevents a redesign or update from quietly removing pages that already generate visibility, enquiries or revenue.

Website change

Technical SEO checks before release

What can go wrong if missed

New page template

Status code, canonical, rendered content, internal links and mobile behaviour

Important content becomes harder to discover or duplicate versions appear

URL change or page removal

Redirect map, destination relevance, sitemap and internal-link updates

Existing visibility, backlinks and customer journeys break

Plugin, theme or CMS update

Rendered output, scripts, forms, caching and crawl access

Search engines or users receive a different version of the page

Domain or platform migration

Redirect coverage, protocol, host, analytics and priority-page testing

Valuable search signals disappear during the transition

Verify What Search Engines Actually Receive

A page is not technically sound simply because it loads in a browser. Search engines need to receive the correct status, canonical signal, internal links and meaningful rendered content. A visual page can still have blocked resources, delayed JavaScript content, conflicting canonicals, accidental noindex rules or redirect behaviour that sends crawlers and users somewhere different.

Before approving a release, Genix should validate priority URLs for:

  • HTTP status and redirect behaviour
  • canonical and indexation directives
  • rendered headings, copy, links and structured elements
  • internal links from key service, category and resource pages
  • mobile layout and functional interaction points
  • forms, calls to action and conversion tracking
  • XML sitemap inclusion where indexation is intended

The aim is not to test every technical possibility. It is to protect the pages and actions that matter commercially before a change reaches production.

Treat Indexation as a Controlled Decision

Not every URL should be eligible to rank. Search results can become diluted when filtered pages, internal search results, duplicate campaign URLs, test pages, outdated PDFs, thin tag archives or thank-you pages are left open to indexation without a reason.

Technical SEO should define which page types are intended to be discoverable and which should remain available to users but excluded from search. That decision needs to be consistent across templates, not fixed one URL at a time after issues appear.

A clear indexation policy should identify:

  • the page types that should attract organic traffic
  • duplicate or parameterised URLs that need canonical or exclusion controls
  • pages that require redirects rather than remaining live
  • protected, login-only or transactional pages that should not enter search results
  • temporary campaign or staging pages that must not be indexed accidentally

Where a page is technically accessible but still fails to explain the offer, target the right query or guide users towards action, On-Page SEO is the next requirement. Technical fixes cannot compensate for weak page intent.

Use Monitoring to Explain the Cause of Change

Monitoring should not produce a monthly list of warnings with no commercial context. Genix should be able to connect a movement in crawling, visibility, conversions or page performance to a meaningful event: a deployment, redirect change, template update, hosting issue, CMS release or content migration.

For priority pages, the useful record includes:

  • what changed and when it was released
  • which URLs, templates or systems were affected
  • whether crawlability, indexability, rendering or performance changed afterwards
  • whether forms, calls, tracking or sales routes still work
  • who owns the fix and how the change will be validated

This gives technical SEO a practical role in website operations. It helps teams recover faster, avoid repeating the same release errors and make decisions using evidence rather than assumptions.

When technical issues require code changes, CMS fixes, platform work or release support, Web Development Services provide the implementation path. Technical SEO identifies the risk and validates the outcome. Development turns the approved fix into a stable live change.

Technical SEO is not a one-off audit document. It is the operating discipline that keeps important pages reachable, interpretable and dependable as the website evolves.
